Attached to the top of the mast is the slewing unit, which allows the crane to rotate horizontally. This rotation enables the crane operator to position the jib and hook assembly precisely over the desired location on the construction site. The operator's cab is usually located near the top of the mast or on a separate platform attached to the mast, providing the operator with a clear view of the worksite.
